Meeting My Sister

Peggy was the first of our clan and I am the last. The first time I remember seeing her I was about 6 years old. My sister Popsicle (Bertha) had passed away and Peggy had come to the house to see Mother and Daddy. I thought what a beautiful lady. She was pregnant with her first child. The next time I saw Peggy was in 1976, you see we lived worlds apart, however there seemed to be a closeness that will always be in my heart . My husband and I married on Peggy's Birthday! She came and shared my day with me! Over the years we have been able to share more special family events, something I will always treasure. She had a warmth and grace that always made you feel special. Her smile, her laugh, her generosity of heart will be how I remember my beautiful sister.
