I served under Mark for over 20 years on 4 continents. He was an outstanding officer and fine friend. Many of you may recall his favorite character, Maximus, the Roman general of Gladiator. It brings to mind an apt eulogy: Brothers, what we do in life echoes in eternity...Strength and Honor.
