Obituary for Barbara Anne MacDonald
Barbara Anne MacDonald (nee Buck) passed away October 31, 2016 at the age of 73 in Litchfield, CT.
Wife of the late Dr. Carlton A. MacDonald; mother and mother-in-law of Christopher A. (Emily) MacDonald and David J. (Kelley) MacDonald; beloved "Mommy Mac" of Ella MacDonald and "BaBa" of Margaret "Maggie" and Grant MacDonald; daughter of the late Charles Buck and the late Anne Buck; sister of Charles (Patty) Buck; aunt, cousin and friend to so many.
A 45-year resident of Litchfield, Barbara was a tireless and passionate volunteer for a variety of Litchfield-based organizations and initiatives, including the Litchfield Garden Club and the Litchfield Historical Society. She was President of both organizations in her lifetime.
The family extends its sincere gratitude and appreciation to family, many dear friends, and caregivers who supported, loved, and cared for Barbara during her brief illness.
Memorial Service Friday, November 4th, 10 AM at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 49 South Street in Litchfield. Memorial contributions appreciated to the Litchfield Garden Club Civic Fund, Box 848, Litchfield, CT, 06759.
