Cynthia Maria Morzella

HARWINTON - Cynthia Maria Morzella, 82, passed away peacefully on November 3, 2016, with her loving family by her side.

Cynthia was born on April 8, 1934, in Torrington, to parents, Guido Frank Verlato and Antoinette (Silano) Verlato. She and her younger brother, Robert Verlato, grew up on Laurel Hill helping with her parents' grocery store.

She enjoyed roller skating and going to the movies where she met her husband, Arthur Frank Morzella. She and Arthur were married in 1953 and had three sons, Gerard Arthur, Michael Paul, and Robert James Morzella, along with 5 grandchildren whom she adored.

Cynthia worked as a secretary at Fitzgerald Manufacturing and later retired as a Home Health Aide at Charter Oak Services. She enjoyed shopping, cooking, spending time with her mother, who was her best friend, and taking care of her family.

A funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. on Monday, November 7, 2016, at Rowe Funeral Home, 283 Torrington Road, Litchfield. Burial will be private. Calling hours will be from 4 to 6 p.m. on Monday, prior to the service at the funeral home.
