TORRINGTON — Barbara Drake, age 95, passed away on April 24, 2016 in Torrington, CT. She was the wife of the late Kenneth Drake. Barbara was born on July 2, 1920 to the late Haliburton and Amy (Hayden) Drake in Hartland, Maine.

Barbara was a teacher for nearly 30 years at Goshen Center School and was an avid reader. She had a cottage on Cape Cod which she enjoyed spending time at especially with her family.

She is survived by two sons; Thomas and Robert Drake, two grandchildren; Jennifer Ogonoski and her husband Arthur and Brandon Drake and three great grandchildren; Joseph, Katelyn and Samuel Ogonoski. She was predeceased by her sister Mary Crandlemire.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Rowe Funeral Home, 283 Torrington Rd., Litchfield, CT. A service will be held at 7:00pm.
