Obituary for Natalie Louise Friedman

Natalie Louise Friedman
Natalie L. Friedman
Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother

Cornwall, CT - Natalie L. Friedman (nee Schwarz), 82, formerly of Easton CT, passed away peacefully at her home on March, 19, 2015. Natalie was born in Bridgeport CT on October 14, 1932. She graduated Bassick High School as salutatorian and attended Smith College as an art student.

Natalie was married to her husband, Ira, for over 61 years. Her life centered around her family and she was happiest in the kitchen, cooking for family and friends and throwing amazing parties for all kinds of occasions. Natalie was initially a homemaker and then started working at Samuel Staples Elementary School in Easton, CT where she would be for the next 40 years. Natalie was a long-time volunteer for the Easton Vol. Fire Co. Siren Aides and was a fixture at the yearly Easton Vol. Fire Co carnival. Natalie and Ira retired in 2012 to Cornwall to be close to family. Although her health declined significantly in her last years, she still enjoyed many wonderful gatherings with family and friends.

Natalie is survived by her husband, Ira, daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie and Gary LaRose of Hillsboro, NH, sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Betty Friedman of Concord, NH, Bob Friedman and Gina Olson of Cornwall, CT, and Mark and Leah Friedman of Scottsdale, AZ; grand-daughters Sarah and her husband, Lloyd Michaud; Farrah and Jason Williams, Sky and Haley Trapella, and grandsons Jack and Luke Friedman, and great-grandson, Hayden Williams, and her beloved sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Deanna and Andre Guilbert of Norwalk, CT.

A celebration of Natalie's life will be planned for later in the Spring to be held in Fairfield County, likely in Easton where she spent 43 wonderful years of her life. In lieu of flowers, the family would like to suggest a donation to CurePSP at www.psp.org or at CurePSP, 30 E. Padonia Rd., Suite 201, Timonium, MD 21093
