Helen L.  Pinney (Stanley)
Lakeside – Helen Louise Pinney, 92, passed away peacefully on May 10, 2016. She was the loving wife of the late Clayton W. Pinney.

Helen was born in Middlebury, Conn., on October 30, 1923, a daughter of the late Earl G. and Althea (Cook) Stanley.

She was a retiree of Torrington Special Products, where she worked for many years as an inspector.

Helen enjoyed bingo, Wii bowling, square dancing, the UConn Huskies and N.Y. Yankees.

She passed away surrounded by her loving nieces.

The family appreciates the faithful visits of her friend, Lois, and the care she received at Litchfield Woods.

She is survived by her son, Clayton Pinney and his wife, Karen Ann of Redondo Beach, CA; three grandchildren, Joshua Pinney and his wife, Laura, Thomas Pinney and Emily Geilenfeldt and her husband, Casey; three great grandchildren, Aeden, Satya and Lilly; her sister, Patricia Stanley of East Morris and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brothers, Earl, Richard and Roger and her sister, Marion.

Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 14, 2016, at Rowe Funeral Home, 283 Torrington Road, Litchfield. Burial will follow in E. Morris Cemetery. Calling hours are 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, May 13, at the funeral home.
