Libby was born and raised in Litchfield, Connecticut. She lived in one house her whole life being raised by her two loving parents, Jeffrey Zampaglione and Brenda (Keefner) Zampaglione. She grew up with her two sisters, Juliet and Katharine Zampaglione. Libby recently graduated from Litchfield High School with the class of 2013. She worked in the kitchen at AJ’s Pizza in Goshen, CT.
Libby was a very active individual. She was always involved with sports and her community. She was an avid swimmer and a fantastic softball player. She was a Berkshire League medal winner for swimming and by her sophomore year of High School she had already won three varsity letters for sports. She was a motivated volunteer for Junior Women’s Club of Litchfield Hills, Amazing Grace Food Pantry in Middletown, CT, and also for Litchfield Education Foundation. In her free time she enjoyed spending time snowboarding at Mohawk Mountain. Libby spent many years devoted to St. Anthony of Padua where she served the altar for Father Tucker. She loved all animals and made friends very easily with her loving personality, beautiful green eyes and amazing smile. Libby had great aspirations to be a traveler.
In addition to Libby’s parents, Jeff and Brenda, and sisters, Juliet and Katharine, she is survived by her grandparents, James R. and Janice Zampaglione of Goshen, her great grandmother, Frances Zampaglione of Goshen, her boyfriend Brian Shepherd of Goshen, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins, from MA, NY, and WV. Libby is predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Christine and David Keefner, and uncle, David B. Keefner. Libby will be missed by many friends for her enthusiasm and even in death Libby’s spirit will live on due to her generosity of being an organ donor.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 29, 2013 at 11am at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 49 South Street, Litchfield. Burial will follow in East Cemetery. Calling hours are Sunday, July 28, 2013 from 2 to 5pm at Rowe Funeral Home, 283 Torrington Road, Litchfield.
