Obituary for Mary Ann Feuerstein

Torrington- Mary Ann Feuerstein, 70, passed away suddenly on Monday, February 11th, 2019 at
Hartford Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

Mary Ann was born on March 7th, 1948 in Torrington, daughter of the late Paul and Lois (Bell) Feuerstein. She was raised in Litchfield and graduated from and stayed active with the Litchfield High School Class of 1966. She also attended Bay State College in Boston, MA. She was employed in the trust department of the Colonial Bank in Torrington for many years. Most recently, she worked as a private home healthcare aide. She has been a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, the United Methodist Church of Litchfield and the Torrington Historical Society.

Mary Ann will be remembered by her soft nature, kind heart and generous manner. She was known in her family for her wonderful baking, especially her apple pies. She had many interests and hobbies including reading, gardening, kayaking and walks along the boardwalk at White Memorial Conservation Center. Mary Ann was a lover of animals, flowers and the outdoors.

Mary Ann is survived by her sister, Joan Bailey; her sister-in-law, Audrey Feuerstein; her nieces, Tia Feuerstein and Hope Zawisza and her husband Robert; her grand-nephews, Dylan and Colton Zawisza; furry grand-nephew, Marcello; several cousins; and many dear friends. She was predeceased by her parents and her brother, Leslie Feuerstein.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, February 17th, 2019 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Rowe Funeral Home, 283 Torrington Road, Litchfield, CT. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Monday, February 18th, 2019, also at Rowe Funeral Home. Burial will take place at West Cemetery in Litchfield at a later date.
