Barbara joined the Litchfield Writers Guild ( LWG) on September 7, 2006. An immediate creative writing enthusiast, her interest never waned in the twelve plus years she worked with the group. We all came to love her. She added to our discussions at table by often bringing succulent desserts she had cooked at home especially for the group. Seldom did any morsel remain at the conclusion of our two hour reading and critique sessions. Her bubbly personality added depth to our meetings and she contributed in kind when asked for her opinion of any reader's piece. While a member, Barbara completed and published four children's books. She would go to schools, sit and read to the children from them and inevitably adults in the room would buy her books and treasure them. As an author that spelled success and as a person she shined brilliantly. My wife Holly, the LWG group and a vast number of friends whose lives she had touched have been enriched by her presence. We shall keep her in our hearts and our memory.
