Torrington - Jay Frederick Keefe, 58, passed away unexpectedly at home on July 18, 2018. He was born on December 22, 1959 in Weymouth, MA to Marion Simmons.
Jay spent most of his career as a machinist. In his more recent years he was employed by Price Chopper. Jay enjoyed biking CT roads his whole life and riding for hours with his best friend Darrell. He enjoyed heavy metal music, classic rock music and concerts and memorabilia. He was an avid philatelist and reader of Steven King. He loved his bus travels with friends to the casino and working at Price Right.
Jay is survived by his sister Ruth Bromley of Torrington CT and his Brother Erick Galluzzo of Buzzards Bay MA. Three Nieces, Tanya McDonald & Husband Dwayne their children Kirsten and Damian of Buzzards Bay MA, Ericka Bromley & Husband Gary Nicholls of Mystic CT. Elisabeth Ann Patten & son Zach of Colebrook CT. Two nephews, Harlan Ray Bromley & his wife Jessica Parsons, their children Timothy, Mariah and Karissa of Appomattox, VA and Matthew James Bromley, his sons Andrew & Zachary of Torrington CT.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, July 27, 2018 from 5:00-6:30pm at Rowe Funeral Home, 283 Torrington Road, Litchfield, CT 06759. A service will begin at 6:30pm. Burial will be private.
