Robert H. (Bob) Causland, age 96, of Litchfield CT and Vero Beach FL, passed from this life March 13, 2018.
Bob was born in Chicago IL to the late Herbert and Leona Randle Causland. He was a graduate of St. Rita High School, Chicago IL and St. Joseph College, Rensselaer IN. As a proud veteran of World Was II, Bob served as an Ensign in the United States Navy 1942-1946 seeing action in Normandy and Marseilles France and in North Africa.
Professionally he served as CEO and President of Wickhen Chemical Company in Hugenot, NY before his retirement with late wife Genevieve in Florida and Connecticut.
Bob was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, Vero Beach FL, St. Anthony of Padua and Lourdes Shrine, Litchfield CT where he served as a Lector and Eucharistic Minister.
He is survived by his second wife, Norma (Chic) Causland of Vero Beach FL; children John Causland, Ann Arbor MI; Janet (Michael) Magnifico, Litchfield CT; Mary Ermides, Saratoga Springs NY; Roberta (Todd) Ruppel, Sleepy Hollow NY; Leonard (Donna) Causland, Silverthorne CO; Christopher (Holly) Causland, Kingman AZ; grandchildren Alecia, Lauren, Juliana Magnifico, Mathew and Genevieve Ruppel, Katherine and Kristen Ermides; great- grandchildren Marcos Magnifico and Everett Breilein; step-daughters Susan Jacobs and Barbara Warapius; step-granddaughters Kelly and Lindsay Spurgeon.
Bob was predeceased by his first wife Genevieve Causland, son-in-law Douglas Ermides and brothers Richard and James Causland.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 am, Saturday May 5, 2018, at The Shrine of Lourdes, 50 Montfort Road, Litchfield CT. There are no calling hours and burial will be private.
