Wayne Ronald Archer, Sr.

Wayne R. Archer, Sr., 83, passed away on April 9, 2017 at his home. He was the husband of Barbara (Moody) Archer. Wayne was born on June 11, 1933 in Waterbury, Connecticut to the late Truman Robert and Kathleen (Wheeler) Archer.


In addition to his wife Barbara, Wayne is survived by his son Lane Archer, his brothers Elliot Archer of Maine, Douglas Archer of Winsted, George Archer of Thomaston and Truman Archer of Torrington, his sister Sandra Andrews of Winsted and his special daughter-in-law Nancy Chause and his nephew Neal Archer of Bantam.

In addition to his parents Wayne is predeceased by his sons; Kevin Archer, Daniel Archer and Wayne Archer Jr. and his brothers; Carl Archer, Richard Archer and Truman Archer.

The family is forever grateful to the nurses of the Northwest VNA of Bantam and Northwest Hospice Nurses and caregivers for their compassion and wonderful care for Wayne.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at 11:00am at Bantam Cemetery, Bantam Road, Bantam, CT 06750.
