Obituary for Lena W. Troland
Lena Wald Troland, 89, passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. She was the wife of the late Frederick F. Troland.
Born on December 8, 1926 in Torrington, she was the 10th of 17 children born to the late Otto and Ethel (Huggins) Wald. Lena retired from the Torin Manufacturing Company and was a faithful parishioner of St. Francis Church.
She is survived by her only living sibling Frank Wald and by numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, October 13, 2016 from 4:00-7:00pm at Rowe Funeral Home, 283 Torrington Road, Litchfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 14, 2016 at 11:00am at St. Francis Church, 160 Main Street, Torrington, CT 06790. Burial will be private.
