Mildred S. Wheeler
Litchfield - Mildred S. Wheeler died peacefully at home on November 20th at the age of 105 of natural causes. Until the last week of her life, she was vitally involved with family and friends. Born in Middletown, Connecticut, her family eventually moved to Stratford, Connecticut where she attended school and graduated in 1930. Married in 1934 to the late Howard F. Wheeler, she spent 53 years of married life in Stratford, Connecticut. For the last thirty years, she lived with her daughter in Litchfield. She is survived by two daughters and their husbands: Lynn and Jim Robbins of Little Egg Harbor, New Jersey; and Deborah Dove and Daniel O’Dowd of Litchfield. She has five grandchildren, James D. Robbins, Jr. of Marshfield, Massachusetts; Sharon R. Lyhne of Fairfield, Connecticut; David W. Robbins of Marlton, New Jersey; Ashley W. Dove of Austin, Texas; and Travis W. Dove of Litchfield; and nine great grandchildren. As the center of our extended family for so many years, she will be sorely missed by all. Donations in the memory of Mildred S.
