Northfield - Jeffrey Robert Johnson, 46, passed away on April 19, 2016 at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital in Torrington. He was born on December 14, 1969 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury, Connecticut to Robert F. and Janice (Duffy) Johnson.

Jeff lived in Northfield the majority of his life. He attended all the Litchfield Schools. During his junior year of High School he was an exchange student to Osorno, Chile. Throughout high school he played on the basketball and golf team and was a member of the debate team. Jeffrey attended Rutgers University and Central Connecticut State University. He was employed by CSI, Bantam Fuel and most recently Stop and Shop. Jeffrey was a former member of the Junior and Senior Fire Department in Northfield and a volunteer and board member of the Northfield Cemetery Association.

In addition to his parents, Robert and Janice of Port Saint Lucie, FL, Northfield and Goshen, CT he is survived by his son, Dylan Thomas Johnson and his grandson Jack Patrick Johnson of Torrington, his sister, Jill Johnson and her fiancé Charles Beaudoin of Northfield and two nephews, Robert and Louis Bongiolatti whom he spent many happy times with, his AFS sister Carmen Barra Jofré and family of Concepción, Chile, his life partner and best friend Cindy Hazen of Harwinton along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Jeff is predeceased by his grandparents John and Charlotte Johnson of Northfield and Edward and Betty Duffy of Waterbury and an Aunt Rita Brown of Thomaston.

A private memorial service will be held in the early summer.
