Loving Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother

MORRIS – Janet Lorraine Taylor, 89, passed away on December 9, 2017 surrounded by her family at Bethel Health Care. She was the wife of the late Robert Taylor. Janet was born on May 19, 1928 in Eastport, Maine to the late Albert W. and Shirley (Dunklee) Lowe.

She graduated from Shead Memorial High School. Janet moved from Eastport, Maine to Waterbury, Connecticut in 1946. She worked at Chase Manufacturing Company and then Scoville Manufacturing Company where she met Bob and they were married on November 22, 1953. They moved to Morris, Connecticut in 1961, where Janet worked as an Avon Rep. and worked at the White Flower Farm for many years. Janet enjoyed traveling often to see her family in Maine and Georgia.

Janet is survived by two daughters; Susan Roberts and her husband Alex of Bethel, CT, and Sharon Deming and her husband Arthur of Rocky Mount, NC, two sons; Ronald Taylor and his wife Lynn of Oxford, CT and Robert Taylor, Jr. of Shelton, five grandchildren; Christopher Deming of Grayson, GA, Casey Deming of Watkinsville, GA, Ronald and Victoria Taylor of Oxford, CT and Alexandra Roberts of Bethel, CT, two sisters; Elinor Groover and Connie Collette both of Belfast, ME along with six great grandchildren and two nephews.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 15, 2017 at 12:00pm at Morris Congregational Church, 9 East Street, Morris, CT 06763. There will be no calling hours and burial will be private.

The family would like to thank the staff at Bethel Health Care and Regional Hospice of Western Connecticut for the years of excellent care they provided.
