Condolence From: Dr. Staub
Condolence: Judy So sorry to hear this. What a gallant and courageous battle Roger fought with his illness. And he did it with such an incredibly positive attitude. Amazing to witness. It was a privilege to serve as his doctor for all of those years. Sending you and all of your family a gigantic hug and support with his passing. You all did such an incredible job supporting him through this difficult illness Dr. Staub

Condolence: To the family of Roger Mahieu , I met Roger back in 2002 at True Value and I was about to build a home in town and he was so helpful right off the start always willing to offer help and suggestions to fit your needs! Whenever I saw Roger at the store we would always talk for 15 to 20 minutes . His legacy and friendship can clearly be seen by his son Roger and grandchildren who work in the store and his employees and longtime employee Al! He will be greatly missed !! May he rest in peace and be surrounded with family and friends. Sincerely, Charles D. Ketz of Litchfield.

Condolence From: Phil Birkett,
Condolence: Roger and I go back many, many, years our parents were friends and so were we.We would not see each other for long periods of time, but when we did it seemed like there had been no time gap.I would sometimes have to walk from Wamogo after Baseball practice to E.Chestnut Hill Rd.I would stop at Superior Foods to get a soda because I knew Roger would be there and we would always laugh and joke and I would soon be on my way home.So long my friend and Brother and my condolences to your family and friends.I will always remember you.Phil

Condolence From: Chief Mark Cattey
Condolence: I was but a wee new member with JUNIOR when SENIOR was our Deputy Chief. Roger taught me many life lessons and made sure I stayed safe on the fire ground. Both his Sons would become members, making the Mahieu family a 3rd generation of volunteers at our fire company. There is a very large pair of empty fire boots at our station to be filled and we stand beside you in prayer. I have no doubt that God greeted Roger Sr. up in heaven, saying - WELL DONE MY FAITHFUL SERVANT. Humbly, The Members at ELVFCO
