my message that was read at your funeral dad. I love u with all my heart. u were a amazing guy Dad You left a mark in your life on earth on many people. Your may be gone but u will always be in my heart. It’s hard to say goodbye to someone u never wanted to leave. I’m still waiting to wake up from this nightmare. My last days with u u were still being that tough man that everyone knows. U sat up in your bed to talk to me. I held your hand helped u eat your jello. U even drank your coffee. Still fighting to the end. U didn’t give up u fought a long battle. U defeated so many obstacles in your life . U fought back your hardest. U never Gave up. Cancer overtook you. I will never forget your last words u ever said to me. As I got up to hug u it wasn’t just a hug I held u tight and told u in your ear I love u dad. You responded I love u Mike. Those words will always be with me in my heart. I didn’t wanna let go of u. I wish I never left that night. As I left I turned around to look at you . U had your head down. I was the last one to hold u and kiss u on your cheek. Dad I miss u. Why’d u have to go. Why my father? You were the perfect dad any little boy growing up would love to have. As I got older u taught me many things in your life. You weren’t just a dad u were a husband to my mom a grandpa to my children a father in law to my wife allison and dad u were my best friend to. There’s so many memories with u. Don’t blame yourself for anything. None of it was your fault. I hope I made u proud . I am just like u in many ways. Today is a hard day. My father laying in the casket. But his spirit is standing rite next to me. You’ve been with me a lot since u left earth and went on your journey. I’m gonna miss that smile and that laugh. Hey dad I should’ve never sold my troller. That went on for years. Remember that when we took our boating license test. Or how bout the guy saying pep pep. Trying to get us to understand he was saying peppers. You and mom are the greatest parents ever. Been married 47 years and u guys were always together. U had the perfect marriage. U made many people happy. U were loved and always will be loved by many. Dad? Dad? As I write this with a tear running down my cheek. I feel u next to me. Hey dad I love you! Don’t worry bout mom Your children will take care of her. She misses u and I know u miss her and didn’t mean to leave. Hope your not in pain anymore. Are u up there fixing tractors? U should make something while your up there to bring u back. You know how much I loved u and how much u meant to me. I’m not saying goodbye I’ll just see u later. I love u daddy. Love always Your son Mike
