Condolences

Condolence From: Jared Look
Condolence: Jack lived just down the block from me on East st. On several of my walks around the block it was my pleasure to see him and Kathy working their beautiful garden that added such elegance to our neighborhood. The last time we spoke was at the crafts fair on the Green where I first learned about their pottery work. I love people who work with their hands and talked with Jack and Kathy for quite awhile about their craft. I bought 2 beautiful items, a bowl and a platter, which now have taken on very special significance. They, as will Jack's memory be treasured. Rest In Peace Jack.

Condolence: Kathy, I am so sad for this huge loss. I can't even imagine what you are going though. I am holding you in my heart and am saying a prayer to our Dear St. Anthony! Jack's smile, laughter and wit will be missed by soooooooo many!! I truly loved to see the love and respect that you two had for each other. You guys were always an inspiration to me! I wish that I could be there to give you a hug in person! If you need a place to visit, just to get away for a bit, you are always welcome here. I think that the Southwest & Pueblo pottery styles would inspire you! I love you my friend and I am always here when you need an ear. Sending love and hugs, Carol Lee

Condolence From: Doreen Dougan
Condolence: It is with such sadness I write this. I had the awesome privilege to work with Jack as one of his employees in Ansonia SSA, then had the great privilege to take his place as the Manager of Ansonia when he decided to become a specialist in information Technology. he was a great boss and was a great person to work with. Always upbeat, never let anything get him down, and just enjoyed life. I am sure he is enjoying a beautiful spot in heaven, either planting, pruning, or perhaps seeing a beautiful play. Kathy, you had a gem of a man, Maura, and Matt, you had a great Dad, and I am sure he is and always will be looking after you all. Doreen Dougan.

Condolence: I worked with Jack off and on for many years. He was the most unconventional man I have ever met. He was a gifted speaker and always brought so much humor to all his presentations. One never knew what he was going to say. He was easy to talk to and so often he expressed his love of plants and Broadway shows sharing his knowledge with others. I can't help but smile when I think of him and feel so sorry for your loss, Kathy. I am certain you and your family will miss him.

Condolence: I know Jack from the last couple of years when he and Kathy volunteered at the Berkshire Botanical Garden as part of the Thursday Morning Team. He was a wonderful volunteer, very knowledgeable about plants and willing to work on whatever needed doing. And always with a ready smile and a funny line. The whole horticulture staff is saddened by his death. We wish you all the best during this difficult time, Kathy.

Condolence: Jack, my former neighbor up the hill! You were such a cool guy! I always enjoyed working with you and Kathy and Ann Roberts on a Sunday afternoon at White Flower Farm. No one could rile you up, at least when talking about gardening. I have a plate that you made that I bought from Nutmeg Pottery last year, it has a J on it, so I assume that was yours...I will treasure it always! Thanks for being such a great guy, and for showing us all how to live in compassion. Love from me and all of the Tracys

Condolence: I had the privilege of working with Jack during the second half of his SSA career, when he would visit our Middletown, CT office as an IT coordinator. We had shared interests in art and theater, and I always enjoyed our enthusiastic chats, however brief they may have been. I will remember Jack for his warm and generous spirit and wish his family and many friends peace at this terrible time of sadness.
