Condolence From: Marc Chabot
Condolence: Dear Klaus, Hans and Inge, I am deeply sorry for the loss of your mother. Jeanette was a dear friend and student in my figure drawing class at the Washington Art Association several years ago, and occasionally drew with our open group on Tuesday evenings. She was a dedicated student and lovely person I always looked forward to seeing at art openings, and we always shared heartfelt conversations about real life stuff. Last year Jeanette purchased a favorite little brush and ink drawing of mine of a gnarled old tree trunk. She said she wanted to own a drawing of mine, and came to my home to make her final decision. Though she didn't get to own it very long, I hope it brought her pleasure and it finds a good home. I'd appreciate knowing where it goes! I know her health wasn't the greatest the past few years, but she kept on doing as much as she could. Her friendship, passion for art and support all touched me deeply, and I will miss seeing Jeanette very much, but will alway appreciate and remember her earnest gaze and caring manner with fondness and gratitude. I hope you all take solace in knowing she will always be loved by myself and many others who's lives she touched, and that this may console you each in some measure. My deepest sympathies to each of you, Marc Chabot
