Litchfield – Henry Schutt passed away on February 22, 2018 at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. He was the husband of Patricia (Nagy) Schutt of 62 years. Henry was born on July 24, 1934 in Litchfield to the late Edward and Othelia (Weiss) Schutt.

In addition to his wife, Patricia, Henry is survived by two daughters; Debra (Schutt) Moreau (Maurice) of Harwinton, CT and Diane (Schutt) Kingston (Kevin) of Wethersfield, two grandchildren; Steven and Kristin Kingston who he was very proud of, his sister, Olga (Schutt) Ellis of Torrington, CT, his supportive nephew and godson, Karl Schutt, who was always there to lend a helping hand and several nieces, nephews and loved ones.

Henry was a long time member of the East Litchfield Fire Department. He also worked for Home Oil Company and Scasco Oil Company until he retired in 1993. Henry was a hard worker all his life and enjoyed his small farm which consisted of Heffy, a cow and a handful of steers. He also enjoyed working in his vegetable garden and tinkering on his farm equipment.

Friends and family may call on Monday, February 26, 2018 from 10:00-11:00am at Rowe Funeral Home, 283 Torrington Road, Litchfield. A Funeral Service will begin at 11:00am. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, 76 Walnut Street, Torrington, CT 06790.
