Torrington - Roger Bruce Raymond, 61, of Torrington passed away on January 5, 2018 at Hartford Hospital, surrounded by family. He was born on June 3, 1956 in Southington, CT to the late Bernice (Aubin) Raymond and Robert Raymond. He was the owner of Imagine That by Roger where he specialized in home improvement. Before starting his own business in remodeling he was a skilled woodworker whose work remains in many homes in the Litchfield Hills and beyond.

He is survived by a brother, George Raymond and his wife Susie of Sebastopol, CA, a daughter, Christine Robinson and her husband Andrew of Torrington, a daughter Jessica Raymond of Winsted, a daughter Cheryl DeVoe and husband Drew of Stafford Springs, 7 grandchildren; Troy Welch, Kyle Welch, Trent Welch, Hayley Welch, Bradley Robinson, Wyatt DeVoe and Wesley Robinson, as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Barbara Consolini, brother Phil Raymond, brother Bobby Raymond, Brother Ronnie Raymond, son David Searles, and a niece, Wendy Starr Dupree-Castle.

Roger’s lifelong goal was making people laugh, or smile, and he did just that. He found joy in always telling people that he loved them and making sure to take the opportunity to say how he felt and express gratitude. He would find the good in people, and make sure to compliment them. He took pride in his children and made sure to always tell them that he was proud. While always working hard to support his family he made sure to take time and make memories.
