Torrington – James R. “Jim” Jones, III, 56, passed away on Sunday, July 15, 2018 following a long illness.

Jim was born on Feb. 28, 1962, a son of James R. Jones, Jr. and Elaine (Rodrigues) Jones.

He owned and operated Litchfield Hills Painting for the past 35 years. Jim loved to fish and golf and was a former member of the Torrington Country Club. He also held a 2nd Degree Black Belt in Karate.

In addition to his parents, Jim is survived by his two daughters, Fallon Jones and Brandi Houle; two granddaughters, Novah Jones and Maddison Reycraft; two sisters, Jennifer Tyrrell and Kelly Mierzwinski; his former wife, Karen Remeika; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Raymond Jones.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Rowe Funeral Home, 283 Torrington Road, Litchfield, CT. A service will begin at 7:00 p.m.
