Gladys (Balch) Gilbert

Morris – Gladys (Balch) Gilbert, 90, passed away on May 27, 2018 at Hartford Hospital. She was the wife of the late George H. Gilbert, Sr. Gladys was born on May 11, 1928 in Morris, Connecticut to the late George and Mary (Wilson) Balch.

She worked as a Cafeteria cook for James Morris Elementary School.

Gladys is survived by her daughter, Roxanne Moisan of Morris, three grandsons, and nine great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her son, George H. Gilbert, Jr., her sister and two brothers.

Calling Hours will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2018 from 10:00-11:00am at Rowe Funeral Home, 283 Torrington Road, Litchfield. A Funeral service will follow beginning at 11:00am. Burial will follow in East Morris Cemetery, Morris, Connecticut.
