Joy Ann Zygmont



Torrington- Joy Ann (Clark) Zygmont, 53, passed away on August 29, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of 34 years of John P. Zygmont.
Joy was born in Hartford to Stanley and Anna (Misluck) Clark, the youngest of ten children. She grew up in Harwinton and attended Lewis Mills School where she met her future husband, John.

Joy was very creative and talented. She worked as a cake decorator for more than twenty years. A care taker at heart, Joy loved cooking and entertaining on holidays. She loved to spend time with her family taking trips to the beaches of Rhode Island, laughing and making memories. She was a skilled and passionate gardener and took great joy in being a grandmother. She will be remembered by all for her gift to make people smile and feel her warmth.

In addition to her husband John, Joy is survived by two daughters; Sara Saunders and her husband Jeremiah of Harwinton and Amanda Watley and her husband Justin of Goshen, three grandsons; Patrick, Connor and Aidan Saunders of Harwinton. She is also survived by two brothers, two sisters, many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held from 4 pm to 7 pm on Monday, September 4, 2017, at Rowe Funeral Home, 283 Torrington Road, Litchfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Thomas of Villanova Church, North Street, Goshen. On Tuesday, at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery.
