Litchfield - Sharon L. Clarke, 65, of Litchfield passed away on Friday, January 6, 2017 at Village Crest Health and Rehab in New Milford. She was the wife of 20 years of Frederick Clarke. Sharon was born on August 9, 1951 in New Jersey, daughter of the late Albert and Marilyn (VanOrden) Bedwin.

Sharon was a 1969 graduate of West Morris High School in New Jersey and a 1970 graduate of the Katharine Gibbs School. She had worked for Union Carbide Corp. in Bound Brook, NJ for 10 years and later retired from the John M. Glover Insurance Agency in Harwinton, CT.

She was an avid reader and loved cats. She was a member of the Connecticut Ice Yacht Association on Bantam Lake.

In addition to her husband, Fred, Sharon is survived by her son, William Jayne of Mesa , AZ; step daughter, Cynthia Dubret and her husband, Timothy, of New Milford CT; her sister, Margaret Housman and her husband, Ricky, of New Jersey; a niece, Sarah Housman; and a nephew, Ben Housman.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2017 from 10:00 am to 12:00pm at Rowe Funeral Home, 283 Torrington Road, Litchfield. A funeral service will begin at 12:00pm. Burial will be private.
