Obituary for Adolph Scognamiglio

Adolph  Scognamiglio
Adolph Scognamiglio, 93 was called home on April 8, 2017. He was the son of the late Angelo Scognamiglio and Anna Dusilo Scognamiglio. He is survived by his devoted wife of 66 years, Josephine, his children Mary Ann and Michael Scognamiglio, two granddaughters Cara Butler and Gena Scognamiglio, and a great granddaughter Nina Butler. He also leaves his brothers and sisters; Stanley Scognamiglio, Ciro Scognamiglio, Corrine Mortagua, Christine Rossi and Joseph Scognamiglio and several nieces and nephews.

He served proudly during WWII in the Navy, stationed in the Philippines where he earned the Victory, American Theatre and Asiatic Pacific Medals. He was employed by the Torrington Co for 33 years where he earned his Master Electricians’ license as well as maintained his own electrical contracting business. He was an active member of the Parish Council at St. Thomas of Villanova and the Goshen Agricultural Society for many years.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Thomas of Villanova Church in Goshen on Wednesday April 12, 2017 at 9:30am. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Memorial Contributions in Adolph’s memory may be made to the Goshen Volunteer Fire Department or Goshen Health and Hospice. The family is deeply grateful for the assistance and support they have provided.
