Sallyann (Warner) Gladych

Morris- Sallyann May Gladych, 82, (widow of Henry Gladych), passed away peacefully at home on September 2, 2016. She was born on April 3, 1934 in Waterbury, CT to the late Lewis Sr. and Charlotte (Salmon) Warner.

Sallyann graduated from Thomaston High School class of 1952. She enjoyed attending fairs and watching the Oxen and Horse pulling, attending the Morris Senior Center playing cards and having luncheons and selling poppies for the Legion Auxiliary to raise funds for the Veterans. She was a fan of watching Uconn women’s and men’s basketball.

Sallyann worked at several local businesses as a book keeper and secretary. She was a past member of the Morris Board of Finance, Morris Senior Center; where she served as a secretary and enjoyed helping out with the lunch program and attending functions there, Morris Democratic Town Committee, Boden Weik Legion Auxiliary and a member of the Morris Congregational Church. Sallyanne was still an active member in the Legion Auxiliary where she organized the poppy sales for Memorial Day and enjoyed doing things for the Veteran’s.

Sallyann is survived by three sons; Charles Clark and his partner Sue Gibeault of Thomaston, Lewis Clark and his wife Debra of Morris and John Gladych and his partner Barbra Magnuson of Morris, two sisters; Allie Bassett and Tina Banks, two brothers; Robert Warner and Lewis Warner all of Thomaston, two grandchildren; Kimberly Clark Schultz and her husband Steven of Torrington and Curtis Clark of Thomaston, three great grandchildren; Collin and Lauren Schultz and Matthew Clark and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters; Shirley Hazleton and Mildred Edwards.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Boden Weik Legion Auxiliary, C/O Barbara Bongiolatti, P.O. Box 3, Morris, CT 06763.

Calling Hours will be held on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 from 5:00-7:00pm at Rowe Funeral Home, 283 Torrington Road, Litchfield. A funeral service will begin at 7:00pm. Burial will be private.
