Doris M. Huften, 88, passed away on March 25, 2016 at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital in Torrington. She was the wife of the late William Huften. Doris was born on July 13, 1927 to the late Howard and Edna (Birge) Sheldon in Litchfield, CT.

She is survived by two sons; David Huften and his wife Iris, Ronald Huften and a daughter Leona Huften all of Torrington, 8 grandchildren, 13 great grand-children and 1 great great granddaughter along with several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband William, she is predeceased by her daughter, Joyce Hawley and her husband Ward Hawely and her grandson David Huften.

Friends and family may call on Thursday, March 31, 2016 from 5:00-7:00pm at Rowe Funeral Home, 283 Torrington Road, Litchfield. A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 1, 2016 at 11:00am at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Bantam Cemetery.
