Obituary for James Hamill
James L. Hamill, 67, of Bantam passed away on March 23, 2016 at Rose Haven. He was the husband of Ellen (Ascolese) Hamill of 44 years. James was born in Bridgeport on September 28, 1948 to the late James F. and Martha (Brisco) Hamill.
After moving to Bantam with his wife Ellen, Jim enjoyed working for five years with his father-in-law Dominic Ascolese on the family farm.
In addition to his wife, Ellen, he is survived by two sisters-in-law; Virginia and Anne Ascolese.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at 11:30am at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 49 South Street, Litchfield. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Grace Cemetery. Calling hours will be held prior to mass from 10:00-11:00am at Rowe Funeral Home, 283 Torrington Road, Litchfield.
