Florence M. Kirchner, (“Flo”), 87 of Bantam, CT passed away on Saturday February 13, 2016. Flo was born in Brooklyn, NY, daughter of Henry and Anna Fischer. In her earlier days, she worked at the CT Electric Switch Co. in Bantam. She was a long time communicant of Our Lady of Grace. She was predeceased by her husband, Gerhardt Kirchner. She is survived by four children, Kenneth Kirchner and wife Maryanne of Maryland, Carol Beach and husband Anthony of Litchfield, Robert Kirchner and wife Marlene of Morris, Christine McGrady and husband Kevin of Litchfield, her sister-in-law Gertrude Olsen, eight grandchildren, Andrew Kirchner and wife Ashley, Laura Kirchner, Jennifer Kirchner, Michael Beach, Kimberly Roe and husband Brian, Nicole Kirchner, Rachel Kirchner and Megan McGrady, three great grandchildren, Emily, Leah and Weston and her nieces, Lorrie, Karen, Kristine and predeceased by her nephew Tom. Flo was an avid Yankee fan. She loved spending time with her immediate family and also her family of friends with whom she shared many senior bus trips and bingo outings.

Calling hours will be held at the Rowe Funeral Home, 293 Torrington Road, Litchfield on Thursday Feb 18, from 4 to 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, Feb 19 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace church, 715 Bantam Road, Bantam. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Grace Cemetery.
