Mary Veronica Foley Noel
Bantam - Mary Noel, 92, passed away Aug. 9, 2015 at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. She was the wife of the late Edward Joseph Noel. Mary was born in Sterling, MA on Mar. 20, 1923 to the late John Joseph and Agnes Reid (Watson) Foley. She resided in Worcester, MA; Waterbury, CT; Moira, NY; and most recently Bantam, CT since 1993. While living in Middlebury, Mary raised German Shepherds at her home and always maintained a large family garden. She loved to cook, bake her famous cookies, sew and build puzzles. For a short while, Mary worked at Waterbury Hospital.
Mary is survived by son Edward Joseph Noel, Jr. and his wife Sheila, son James Henry Noel and his wife Elizabeth, daughter Patricia Rose (Noel) Clampett and her husband John, and son David Paul Noel and his wife Patricia. Also surviving her are grandchildren: Lawrence Richard Noel, Jr, Dawn Michelle (Clampett) DiVito,Candy Noel Hamilton, John Charles Clampett, Jr., Charles James Clampett, Kimberley Ann Clampett (Thomas), Christie Noel, Holly Eve Noel, Amy Clampett Pasqualla, Tina Ann Montroy Ring, Jessica Lin Noel Schroeder, Michael Noel, Heather Lynn Montroy, Heather Ann Noel, Krystle Marie Noel Baker, Daniel Austin Noel, James Thomas Clampett, Katherine Louise Noel, Sheena Lee Noel Marshall and Jordan Noel a sister Jacqueline M. Foley Draskinis, thirty-five great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Mary was predeceased by two sons, Lawrence Richard Noel and Arthur Frederick Noel, two sisters, Anna Gertrude Nancy Foley and Agnes Francis Foley, and three brothers; William Pat Joseph Foley, Lawrence Newton Foley and John Francis Foley.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2015 at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Grace Church (Route 202 ) in Bantam. Burial will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Watertown. Calling hours are Tuesday from 4 to 7 pm at Rowe Funeral Home, 283 Torrington Rd. Litchfield.
