Condolence: Aunt Barbara will forever hold the title as one of the wittiest people I’ve had the pleasure of knowing. She was a constant presence in so many of my childhood memories; hardly an ornament was hung nor a pumpkin carved without Barbara and Joe looking on. They spoiled us with gifts and treated us like their own grandchildren. I’ll always remember our annual outing to Popey’s together and how special it made us feel as kids. And the way she’d defend Uncle Joe with a perfectly timed joke whenever the Reis brothers and nephews teased him. They never could one-up her! For 33 years, Aunt Barbara has diligently sent me a birthday card each year, tracking down new addresses and never once forgetting. Such a smart lady with a heart of gold. Thank you to the Thrall family for taking such good care of her in her later years. I'll certainly miss her.
