Barbara Thrall Reis

Torrington – Barbara Thrall Reis, 94, passed away on July 28, 2015 at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital in Torrington. She was the wife of the late Joseph Reis. Barbara was born on October 1, 1920 in Torrington to the late Albert R. and May (Crowe) Thrall.

Mrs. Reis retired from Fitzgerald Manufacturing after 44 years. She was a big sports fan; an avid bowler and enjoyed attending the young men’s softball league games at Perkin’s Field. She loved playing 9-5 with family and friends and enjoyed trips to the casinos.

Barbara is survived by a brother John H. Thrall of Harwinton and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by four sisters and one brother.

In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Harwinton Congregational Church, Book of Remembrance, P.O. Box 173, Harwinton, CT 06791.

A memorial service will be held on August 22, 2015 at 10:00am at Harwinton Congregational Church, at the corner of North Rd. and Litchfield Rd. Burial will be private.
