Litchfield - Josephine Waldman, 87, passed away on February 2, 2018 at Noble Horizons. She was the wife of John R. Waldman. Josephine was born on March 18, 1930 in Montreal, Quebec to the late Adolph and Sophia Budnik.

Josephine was raised in Montreal then came to New York in 1954 to work as an executive secretary until retirement in 1992. She was passionate about gardening, decorating and fashion. She enjoyed antiques, cooking, traveling and painting.

She is survived by two sons; Richard Waldman of Orangeburg, New York and John Waldman and his wife Carol of Sea Cliff, New York, her daughter, Vivian Courtney and her husband Michael of Litchfield, Connecticut, seven grandchildren; Laura Waldman of Port Chester, New York, Steven Waldman of Sea Cliff, New York, Jocelyn Courtney Kaoutzanis and her husband Christodoulos of Stamford, Connecticut, Devin Courtney of Litchfield, Connecticut, Kyle Courtney of Carlsbad, California, Thomas Courtney of Pensacola, Florida and Conor Courtney of Litchfield, Connecticut and one great granddaughter, Fotini Josefina Kaoutzanis of Stamford, Connecticut.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 9, 2018 at 11:30am at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 49 South Street, Litchfield. Burial will follow in St. Anthony Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
