Condolence: We knew David years ago when he was the farriar for our first 2 horses here in Harwinton. He was so knowledgeable regarding the care of their feet. He was also so pleasant and friendly. When he told us he was moving to North Carolina he was generous and nice enough to find and recommend to us another farriar. We still remember the stories he used to tell us about his sheep. We are sure he will be greatly missed. Bob and Cathy Zbuska

Condolence: I had the honor to be a caregiver for David years ago. This amazing man epitomized tenacity and gumption. It'd have been understandable for anyone suffering so sudden and tragic a loss to be angry and bitter, but not David. He never gave in to self-pity or bitterness - always staying optimistic and hopeful. He never lost his sweet gentlemanly demeanor - always treating me with respect and appreciation. In life's difficult moments - I've often been inspired by David's ability to handle his far greater struggles with grace and dignity. I hope his daughter, Diana and Cheryl, two lovely and strong women themselves, know that he really loved them and enjoyed talking about them often - always with pride. He also loved his sisters and spoke with great warmth about them, especially Marilyn, who did so much to make her brother's life less difficult and more comfortable.

R.I.P. Sweet David. I'll never forget you.
