Susanne “Sue” Lautier Ullrich , 76, of Port Orange, FL and Warren, CT left this life on Thursday September 22, 2016 at New Milford Hospital, New Milford, CT. Sue was the wife of Walter Allen Ullrich whom she married on July 13, 1963 at the Litchfield United Methodist Church in Litchfield, CT. She was the daughter of the late Roger A. Lautier and Elizabeth Pruner Lautier. Born May 6, 1940 in Torrington, CT, she graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University with a Bachelors Degree in Education in 1962 and later earned her Masters Degree in Elementary Guidance and Counselling from Indiana University in 1966.

Sue spent her summers as a youth at Bantam Lake where she loved to water ski and fish. After she and Al married, they spent their summers at Lake Waramaug where she was a member of the Lake Waramaug Country Club for over four decades. She enjoyed playing golf and tennis and she loved travelling to different parts of the world with family and friends. She was an avid reader, bridge player, and was loved for her infectious smile and sense of humor. Her greatest joy was her family, especially being a grandmother.

She is survived by husband Al Ullrich, daughter Carrie Jean Ullrich Poulos, and her husband James of Danbury, CT, two grandchildren, David and Brian Poulos, grandog Storm, a niece Beth Haddad Bunnell, nephew Norman Peter Haddad and their families. She was predeceased by son David Allen Ullrich, sister Jeanne Lautier Haddad Warkentin, brother in-law Norman Haddad and nephew Stephen Roger Haddad.

A service will be held on Friday, September 30 at 10:45am at East Cemetery in Litchfield, CT.
